A team-builder and problem-solver, Tammy Rather is part of the team that plans and implements operational activities, facility improvements, administrative programs, systems and policies. She brings to the position proven leadership abilities, as well as team building and personnel management skills. As customer service liaison, she has an open-door policy with patients and employees. She joined the team in June 2008.
She studied at Lane Community College and the University of Oregon, where she majored in business administration. Prior to Oak Street Medical, she was an administrator for primary care practices in Veneta and Eugene for seven years. For 10 years, she was the business manager of a local non-profit that serves adolescents and families. She began her career with Lane County’s Victim Witness Program. Combined, she has 27 years of business management experience.
Today, she dedicates her time to building and managing Oak Street Medical’s strong team of experienced, patient-focused health care professionals. Because of her ability to foster open communication, harmony, and trust, the team is able to focus on its commitment to care for patients.
In her free time, Tammy participates in local run/walks and enjoys spending time with her husband, three grown children and four grandchildren. She recently joined 30 co-workers in completing Eugene’s half marathon. In 2007, she did the full Portland Marathon.
